Tiananmen Square protests of 1989

The Chinese student protests in the spring of 1989 are remembered mostly for how they ended — the bloody military assault around Tiananmen Square in which hundreds, perhaps thousands, were killed. The Chinese authorities consider it as one of the taboo subjects and it is censored from school text books and online. This English presentation provides an insight into the protests.
